Russian Embassy in BiH reacted after Statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a press release regarding today’s statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Secretary General of NATO, it seems that there is something wrong with the logic. On the one hand, it speaks of Russia’s destabilizing influence. On the other hand, it welcomes the unanimous decision of the UN Security Council on the extension of the Althea mission, which it considers a stabilizing factor. As is known, Russia supported this decision in principle,” according to the Russian Embassy.

As they further state, the question is – what is Russia’s factor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which it considers a friendly country?

Let’s recall that Stoltenberg, after meeting with the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, stated that they discussed the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region.

“Allies strongly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of your country. We are concerned about secessionist and divisive rhetoric, as well as external influence, especially from Russia,” said Stoltenberg.
