From June 10 this year, users of the Android phones can download the test mobile application “Parking Sarajevo”, which enables fast and efficient payment for parking services in the Sarajevo Canton, Avaz news portal reports.

Minister of Transport of Canton Sarajevo Adi Kalem said that after the functionality is tested in the next three days, the application will be officially launched.

“In the next two weeks, we expect the release of a mobile application for iOS devices. This was also a precondition for launching and implementing the ‘Smart Parking’ project in Canton Sarajevo, which will enable all users to have an insight into parking locations, the number of free parking spaces and payment on one application,” announced Kalem.

This will greatly reduce the time needed to find a free parking space, and thus reduce traffic jams, is stated by the Press Service of Canton Sarajevo.
