chamber festThe Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival and Institute is an international festival offering chamber music concerts and an intensive program of courses in chamber music in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Founded in 2011 by American cellist Chris Finckel and Bosnian pianist Dino Mulic, the festival works in close collaboration with the Sarajevo Academy of Music and its dean, Dr. Ivan Cavlovic, who offers invaluable support and advice.

Following the tradition of Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival, on the first night the audience will have the opportunity to watch the resident ensemble Manhattan String Quartet. Otherwise, the ensemble was founded in 1970, consisting of violinists Curtis Macomber and Calvin Wiersma, violist John Dexter and cellist Chris Finckel. Although the Manhattan String Quartet has performed at major venues and festivals in the world, the members of the Quartet are extremely proud of the fact that they are as artists and lecturers part of Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival.
