Sarajevo records Decrease in Number of Coronavirus Cases

In the past 24 hours, 38 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton, after laboratory testing of 561 samples, the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo announced.

In the same period, 45 of our fellow citizens recovered from the Covid-19 infection. One person died as a result of this infection. There are currently 88 patients in hospital, 68 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation.

At the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, 50 patients are treated, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas” 38.

One patient is on a respirator, while six of them use oxygen support breathing above 15 liters per minute. The Sarajevo Canton today records 492 active cases Covid-19 infections.

There are currently 1,483 people in self-isolation, and since the beginning of the pandemic in Sarajevo Canton, a total of 54,081 people have been infected with coronavirus and 52,289 have been cured.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days the average number of infected is 74, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 123.
