From 8-18 August, Sarajevo will be the host of the European Championship Cadet of the B Division for players under 16.
22 teams from Europe will arrive to Sarajevo, and they will compete to enter the A division to be among the 16 best European teams.
Sarajevo is the only city in Europe to which FIBA entrusted to hold the European Championship for youth for the third time in a row.
The BIH team is entering this competition with huge ambitions. The players selected by Emir Halimić have been preparing for more than one month, and they have played a few matches during their preparations. The last preparatory match will be played today against Portugal.
Young BIH basketball players will be in the group with Slovakia, Netherlands, Israel and Denmark. They will play their first match on 8 August again the Netherlands. Two days later they will play Denmark, on 11 August against Slovakia, and on 12 August against Israel.
