Saudi Arabia and BiH signed Cooperation Agreement on Combating Criminal

saudiThe Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Minister Dragan Mektić, is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They met with the Secretary of Interior and the Deputy Prime Minister, the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz al Saud. During their meeting, they emphasized that the cooperation between competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is very good, especially in domains of combating trans-boundary criminal. Their cooperation occurs through the intensive operational cooperation and exchange of information.

The cooperation will be additionally promoted through the Cooperation Agreement on Combating Criminal. The Cooperation Agreement was signed by Mektić and Muhammad bin Nayef.

They also expressed their mutual willingness to share information and experiences to fight against terrorism and violent radicalism.

Mektić also informed Al Saud about the positive reactions on Regional Initiative on fight against terrorism that was founded by the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The host introduced their program of deradicalization that is carried out by the Kingdom and they also agreed on a cooperation between two countries regarding this problem.

Mektić said that this visit is extremely important, emphasizing that the strengthening of police cooperation and making a safe environment is of essential importance for attracting the investors, tourist, as well as for the general economic development, says the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
