Significant Decrease in Number of New Coronavirus Cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina

A total of 184 new samples were tested for the presence of coronavirus at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) on Monday. Ten people tested positive for coronavirus, which is a significant decrease compared to the previous period. Seven people were infected in Sarajevo Canton, two in Bugojno, and one in Kiseljak. There are 31 patients in the hospital in the KCUS isolation ward in Podhrastovi, four of whom are placed in intensive care.

During weekend, 1,709 samples were registered with the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, of which 297 were positive for SARS-CoV-2 and new cases have been registered in all the cantons in the Federation of BiH.

There are currently 3,835 active cases of SARS-CoV-2. Eight new deaths have been reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH. Six patients died in the past 24 hours, and two subsequently registered patients died earlier in the week.

As of today, the total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 443, stated the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of BiH.

In the RS entity, 640 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed in 97 people.

In the last 24 hours, three deaths have been reported to the RS Institute of Public Health.

According to the RS Institute of Public Health, a total of 284 people have died in the entity so far as a result of coronavirus infection.

The total number of hospitalized is 184, and 3,398 people are currently under health supervision.
