Signing of Agreement Tomorrow on Partnership on Project EUMETAL 2

rukovanje_a (1)The official ceremony of the signing of the agreement on partnership on the project “Increase Competition of Small and Medium Businesses and Strengthen Cross-Border Connections in the Metal Industry-EUMETAL 2” and the presentation of this project will take place on Thursday, 6 June in Sarajevo.

The agreement will be signed by the Director of the Regional Development Agency of Zlatibor Slavko Lukić and the Director of the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA Ševkija Okerić, as representatives of agencies that are leading partners in the realization of the project, Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton Emir Hrenovica and the Director of the National Agency for Regional Development of Serbia Ivica Eždenci, as representatives of institutions that are local partners in the realization of the project EUMETAL 2.

The goal of the project is the support of the development of small and medium businesses in the metal sector in the border regions of Serbia and BiH in order to improve their competitiveness and strengthen export capacity.

Some of the planned project activities is the organization of B2B meetings of companies in the metal industry of border regions of BiH and Serbia, making catalogues of companies in the metal industry, conducting analysis of the needs of these companies, and in accordance with the analysis of the organization of specialized trainings for their employees.

The project EUMETAL 2 was approved as part of the second call of the cross-border cooperation of BiH and Serbia program.

The total value of the project is 365.432 euros, of which the EU financed around 83 percent, and SERDA and RRA Zlatibor financed the rest, 17 percent.

It is expected that the project would last 20 months, announced SERDA.
