Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) last night in the Sarajevo Canton, more precisely in Tarcin, arrested one person on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of Illicit Possession of Weapons and Explosives.

SIPA police officers searched a passenger motor vehicle driven by the suspect and on that occasion found and temporarily seized 26 pieces of military explosives weighing half a kilogram, 100 pieces of military explosives weighing 200 grams each and 130 pieces of military explosives weighing 100 kilograms each in the trunk of the vehicle.

In addition to the above, a passenger motor vehicle and a mobile phone were temporarily confiscated.

In the continuation of the activities, SIPA police officers today in Tuzla searched a residential building used by the suspect. The suspect is currently in the premises of SIPA and is under criminal investigation, after which he will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton within the legal deadline, along with a report on the committed crime.
