policijaApart from the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) during their stay in Zenica, the Israel’s national football team will guard members of the special forces of Israel, which will arrive in B&H together with players and coaching staff.

This information was confirmed by the spokesperson of the MUP of ZDC, Aldina Ahmić, who added that the MUP of the ZDC will have the major role in securing the match.

“Procedures that are related to the arrival of the National football team of Israel and their escort have been defined earlier, in the same way as it is in the other countries when it comes to this national team. We will take all measures, activities and responsibilities for their security as it has been agreed at the higher levels. However, they have their own system and escort that goes with their national team and that is the case wherever they are visiting, “said Ahmić.

The spokesperson of the MUP of ZDC added as well that the police of MUP of ZDC with the help of other canton’s special units will secure the match and all actors of the event.

Director of Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies B&H, Mirsad Vilić, emphasized that the arrival of a special security of National football team of Israel is a standard practice, and there is no need to make a big deal out of it.

“Police Commissioner of MUP of ZDC, Semir Šut, is leading the whole coordination of security of this event and I believe that this match as well as the whole organization will finish without the slightest incident, as all the others so far,” said Vilić.

The spokesperson of the Football Association of B&H, Slavica Pecikoza, emphasized that the activities that will be implemented by the security forces of Israel are not defined yet.

“We do not know the exact information whether they will arrive or how many of them will arrive. They have special security that follows them, but we still do not have any detailed information,” said Pecikoza.
