Sports hall ‘Mirza Delibašić’ is getting a new look

Sports hall ‘Mirza Delibašić’ – Skenderija by the beginning of World Junior Handball Tournament, whose host is BiH, could get a new look.

Representatives of Handball Federation of BiH met with representatives of Skenderija in order to solve the issue of renovating the hall.

According to words of general secretary of Handball Federation of BiH Smajo Karačić, representatives of Skenderija accepted the agreement for renovation of movable sitting places, and one million BAM will be needed for that.

‘We’re planning the renovation of movable sitting places, and we’ll try to make Skenderija a sports hall with greater capacity and with electric moving sitting places. Handball federation of BiH will work together with Skenderija and State institutions to try to find the money for the project’, said Karačić.

He added that Elan Company will sponsor all sports hall where matches of the world championship are to be played, and thanked BiH Council of Ministers and FBIH Government on their help.

Karačić said that they are pleased with current activities concerning the organisation of the championship and hopes that BiH will be represented in the best possible manner, and it will be a very positive story that will be sent to the world from BiH.

World Junior Handball Tournament will be played from 14 to 28 July, and the host cities are Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Ljubuški and Zenica.
