The President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, responded sharply to statements made by representatives of the Troika parties who earlier in the day said that “this is not the 90s” and accused him of “taking people away in a red van during the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Stevandić quickly shot back, calling them “small souls”, and denying any connection to the infamous red van, noting that “there are court rulings for that” and that they are “very well aware of it”.
Further in his reaction, the President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska accused Troika of hypocrisy and political subservience:
“For two years you have humbly negotiated and crawled before my smallness, begging to impose yourself and achieve functions so that Bakir does not run you over.”
He also added: “You were Murphy’s, and now you are Schmidt’s butlers who agree to all the dirty games, nastiness and malice.”
Stevandić described them as “lying, unworthy, without integrity, knowledge and courage to make serious decisions”, and pointed out that he had renounced them even before Milorad Dodik, whom he claims he told that he no longer wanted to meet with them.
Speaking about the alleged political marketing, he said: “Now, probably for marketing purposes, all three of you have ganged up on me to pick a fight with the Bosniak public, which already loathes you.”
Stevandić’s response concluded with a threatening tone:
“I ask you to be in the blue van when he comes to pick me up, to encourage the driver. You can come whenever and however you want, individually, in a group or with a van or more of them, either crawling as before, but you can also do it in another way. Serbs are hospitable. Don’t hide behind slogans and spit! As you come, so you will pass.”
Finally, he said: “Take Schmidt with you!”
Representatives of the Troika previously, reacting to Stevandić’s political actions, stated: “This is not the 90s for Stevandić and you will never again have the opportunity to take away and terrorize civilians in a red van because you do not like their name, origin or religion. This time it will be the other way around – you will very soon be taken in the blue SIPA van, where you belong – to the face of justice.”
