Syrian Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa arrived today in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on his first overseas trip.
Saudi state-run Al-Ekhbariya channel reported that Sharaa will meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, marking a significant diplomatic shift between Damascus and Riyadh.
The visit is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing regional issues.
Shara’s visit comes amid ongoing efforts to restore Syria’s international ties after years of political isolation, Anadolu Agency writes.
