The length of the section of the highway at Corridor 5C from Tarcin to Ivan Sedlo, including the tunnel Ivan, should be about seven kilometers. This section will be continued on the previously constructed part of the highway from Zenica to Tarcin.

This section should include two bridges as well, and their length will be around 520 meters and 610 meters.

Connection to the existing M-17 highway will be constructed at the exit, i.e. the southern side of the tunnel Ivan. The tunnel itself will be constructed in the same place as the existing one on the highway, but it will be around 50 meters below the existing one.

The section will be shortened from several kilometers to several hundred meters from the exit of the tunnel to the connection with the main road.

The estimated cost of the construction of this section, including the tunnel Ivan, amounts to a total of 100 million EUR. Of this amount, 23.8 million EUR of grant funds was secured at the Investment Conference for the Western Balkans, which was held in Sofia. Of this amount, for the construction of the section  will be used a total of 12 million EUR and the remaining 11.8 million EUR will  be used for the construction of the tunnel.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) promised to allocate part of the money necessary for the construction of this section and tunnels, while the European Investment Bank (EIB) promised to provide the rest of the money. The condition for signing the contract with the EIB is signing of the contract with the EBRD first.
