The 30th Anniversary of the Closure of the Susica Camp was marked

The 30th anniversary of the closure of the infamous Sušica camp was marked yesterday in Vlasenica. More than 2,500 Bosniak civilians were killed in that city in spring and summer of 1992, and about 8,000 Bosniaks passed through the Sušica camp.

“Commander of the camp, Dragan Nikolić – Jenki admitted his guilt, and none of his associates were ever prosecuted. I think it is an easy job for the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The names and surnames are known and they should process them,” says Almin Dželilović, deputy president of the Association of War Camp Detainees in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The 30th anniversary of the closure of the Sušica camp was marked by the traditional Peace March from Turalići to Sušica, where the participants paid tributes to the innocent Bosniak victims and laid flowers.

President of the Organizing Committee for marking of the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Sušica camp, Mujo Hadžiomerović, also reminds that it is known who was responsible and who was the executor of monstrous crimes.

“It is incomprehensible that only three criminals were responsible for this crime. There are court proceedings that are being conducted, but they are dragging on. That is unacceptable,” says Hadžiomerović.

Dragan Nikolić – Jenki was sentenced to 20 years in prison before the Hague Tribunal, and Predrag Bastah – Car to 22 and Goran Višković – Vjetar to 18 years in prison before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the crimes against the Bosniaks of Vlasenica.

Trials against Mane Đurić, Radenko Stanić, Miroslav Kraljević and Goran Garić are being conducted in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
