The English Football Association accused Manchester City of inappropriate Behavior of Football Players

The Football Association of England (FA) has accused Manchester City of failing to control the behavior of its players in the Premier League game against Tottenham.

On Sunday, City drew 3:3 against Tottenham and ended the third game in a row with a draw, after which they dropped to third place in the table.

City players surrounded referee Simon Hooper when he awarded them a free-kick in stoppage time after their team-mate Jack Grealish appeared to be in a good position towards the opposition goal. Hooper first waved his hand for the advantage and for the game to continue, but he stopped the game when the ball was passed.

An FA statement said the reigning champions “failed to ensure that their players did not behave in an inappropriate manner”.

The Manchester club have until December 7 to appeal.

City striker Erling Haaland is one of the players who protested to the referee, and after the game he posted a video of the situation on the social network X with an insulting comment in the slang “Wtf”.

City have 30 points, three less than first-placed Arsenal and a point less than Liverpool.
