seseljThe Hague Tribunal prosecution announced to the Appeals Chamber that they will make an appeal to the verdict according to which Vojislav Seselj was acquitted of all 9 charges of war crimes in Croatia and BiH during the war and the expulsion of Croats from Vojvodina.

In the notice of appeal, the Prosecution requested from the Appeals Chamber to approve the appeal and revise the verdict or to repeat the trial.

Prosecution believes that the Trial Chamber did not made the right decision, because they did not give good reasons for their conclusions, they did not accept the arguments and evidence of the Prosecution, and they wrongly evaluated facts that were determined during the trial.

The Hague Tribunal pronounced acquittal verdict to the lieder of Serbian Radical Party on the 31st of March on all nine counts in the indictment, which charged him for hate speech with which he encouraged and supported the war crimes in Croatia and BiH during the war and the expulsion of Croats from Vojvodina.

Most members of the Trial Chamber, with the opposite opinion of Judge Flavia Lattanzi, concluded that Seselj was not guilty for any of the nine counts.

Lattanzi had the opposite opinion for eight counts, while Seselj was acquitted unanimously on one count.

Prosecution requested sentence of 28 years in prison for Seselj.
