The Embassy of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina made an announcement after the Dragons’ historic victory and qualification to the World Cup, and they congratulated all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina on this success.

Among other things, the Embassy of Italy shared a video on its official social media pages before the start of the match, in which you can see the hug of the coach of BiH and Italy, Sergej Barbarez and Gennaro Gattuso.

After that, the Embassy stated that they will support Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup.

“Of course we are sad, but this is football, and penalties are always a lottery. Your joy over such an important qualification makes it easier for us to bear defeat. We will cheer for you at the World Cup – because that’s what friends do,” they said.

Before the match, the Embassy of Italy announced the duel between the two national teams with numerous messages and stated that, despite the result, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy will forever remain friends.
