The Polemic between BiH Politicians in relation to State Property continues

The polemic between politicians in our country in connection with statements about state property still last. Both for the parties from the Republika Srpska (RS) and for those based in Sarajevo, state property is the “red line” below which the leaders of the parties from the RS, after discussing it at the party bodies during the weekend, should sign a joint statement on Monday that has 21 conclusions, of which the last twenty-first one is the most controversial for many.

“If the anti-Dayton action of the Constitutional Court of BiH and political representatives from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) towards the RS continues, the RS will offer the FBiH to sign an agreement on peaceful disassociation”.

“Let’s emphasize for the umpteenth time what is indisputable. For us, the property is an issue of the RS, its municipalities, and cities, and this is unquestionable. The only place for asserting positions on this issue is the National Assembly of the RS (NARS),” told Branislav Borenovic, president of the PDP.

“The letter of Dayton said that the Constitutional Court of BiHwill adjudicate and decide on any disputed issues and make final and binding decisions. This is written in the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH, and not that Milorad Dodik will be above the Constitutional Court, above the Dayton Agreement, and the Constitution of this country,” explained Denis Becirovic, member of the BiH Presidency.

“They are not the problem, but we who point to it are the problem, leading us exactly where Dodik and Covic want us to go – to give up on BiH ourselves! Unfortunately, the opportunism of the international community regarding Dodik’s and Covic’s policies, in this case, it’s putting out the fire with gasoline,” stated Zeljko Komsic, a member of the BiH Presidency.

At the end of next week, a special session of the National Assembly should be convened, where they will discuss and make decisions about the further action of the authorities of the RS and its representatives in the institutions of BiH. At this session, as announced, judges from RS will be invited to withdraw from the Constitutional Court of BiH.
