The “Women in Tourism” conference to be held in Sarajevo

On Wednesday, March 13, the conference “Women in tourism: breaking down barriers, shaping the future” will be held in Sarajevo, the aim of which is to encourage changes in the tourism industry for the economic empowerment of women, and to promote inclusivity and diversity in this area.

This is the first conference of this type in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will bring together leading actors of the tourism sector, as well as representatives of USAID and the UN Agency for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women “UN Women” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through panel discussions and short informative presentations.

“The secretary general of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republika Srpska Dragana Kokot, from the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism Nasiha Pozder, Director of USAID in BiH Courtney Chub and representative of the UN Agency for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Jo Anna Bishop opened the conference with a welcome speech,” USAID announced. -a.

The opening of the Conference is planned for 11 a.m. at the “Novotel Bristol” hotel.
