The newly elected U.S. president Donald Trump met with the former secretary of state of the USA Henry Kissinger and said that he respects the national security advisor in administrations of presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford very much.
“I deeply respect Dr. Kissinger and I appreciate him sharing his opinions with me,” said Trump and added that the two of them talked about China, Russia, Iran, Europe and other global issues.
At the recently held elections, the 93-year-old Kissinger was closer to Trump’s democratic counter-candidate Hillary Clinton.
