eletroprivredaAt this year’s list of 500 largest companies in Central Europe, which was published by the consulting and auditing company Deloitte, BiH has two companies this year.

Revenue from sales in 2015 which should be achieved in order to get on the list was 473 million EUR (3% more than last year). Companies that have found themselves on the list are ASA Prevent Group, which got on the 423rd place on the Deloitte’s list by realizing 545 million EUR of sales revenue, and Elektroprivreda which qualified for 480th place with 488 million EUR. Compared to the last year, Optima Group and Holdina are no longer in the Top 500.

Tenth year in a row, Deloitte conducted an analysis of largest companies from 18 countries of Central Europe and Ukraine (the largest 500 companies, 50 banks and 50 insurance companies). All the companies listed in the Top 500 together achieved revenue in the amount of 685 billion EUR, which is an increase of 1.7% compared to last year’s 682 billion EUR.

“Despite significant percentage change in the level of income, the largest three companies maintained their places on the list. The biggest companies in Central Europe remained Polish oil company PKN Orlen with a total of 21.1 billion EUR in sales revenues. On the second place is Hungary’s MOL with 13.3 billion EUR of revenue, while on the third position is still Czech Skoda (11.5 billion EUR),” said the main partner of audit services for Deloitte Adriatic region, Sabina Softic.

A total of 40 companies from the Adria region qualified on the list of 500 biggest companies in Central Europe this year, of which seven new and four less than in 2014. Among the seven new companies on the list are: HSE Group, Mercator-S, PE Srbijagas, Zagreb Holding, Nelt Co., Podravka, and Lidl Croatia.

Slovenia still has the most representatives (17) from the region on the Top 500 list. It is followed by Croatia with 13 companies and Serbia by 7. Unlike last year, when he had four representatives on the list, BiH  had two representatives this year, while Macedonia have one representative.

The three biggest companies in the Adria region this year are Agrokor group, amounting to 6.4 billion EUR of sales revenue, Slovenian Petrol Group with 3.8 billion EUR of revenues and the Mercator Group, which realized 2.6 billion EUR of revenue last year. INA has recorded a revenue decline of 20 % due to lower natural gas sales and lower sales of petroleum products and falling prices for products and it ended on the 4th place in the region and 53rd  on the overall list.
