Two German Citizens were rescued in Maglic Mountain

Last night, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina coordinated the rescue operation of two German citizens from Mount Maglić.

The mountaineers got lost after yesterday’s hike, and last night the rescuers from the field asked the Ministry of Security of BiH to get involved in coordinating the activity in which the rescuers from Foča and Montenegro participated.

Namely, the mountaineers crossed into the territory of Montenegro and the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro requested help from the Ministry of Security of BiH and the hiring of a helicopter for their extraction, considering that they do not have a helicopter that can work in night conditions.

BiH Minister of Security Nenad Nešić immediately agreed to request the assistance of EUFOR. The rescue operation was successfully completed this morning around five o’clock and the mountaineers were taken care of at the Sarajevo Hospital.

Minister Nešić expressed his gratitude to the commander of EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Laszlo Sticz, and the rescuers for the successful operation and rescue of two mountaineers.
