Zijad Mutap, Hasan Dupovac, Alisa Mutap (Ramić), Josip Barić and Muamer Ožegović were accused in the indictment of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office of joining an organized crime group, which was formed by Zijad Mutap in order to cover up the evidence of the way in which Dženan Memic sustained severe, life-threatening injuries on 8 February 2016. year, as a result of which injury he died.

Otherwise, the suspect Zijad Mutap and his daughter Alisa did not attend the sentencing today.

They were accused by the indictment of concealing evidence and perpetrators, faking evidence, concealing facts known to them, taking actions with the aim of concealing the actual way in which Dženan Memic received serious, life-threatening injuries, all with the intention of concealing the real perpetrators and the actual way in which Dženan Memic was injured.

Reminder of the first-instance judgment

The first-instance, acquittal verdict, the court panel led by judge Branko Perić was passed on November 24, 2022, but the Appellate Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina canceled it at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which initiated the second-instance proceedings.

The second-instance proceedings were led by judge Staniša Gluhajić, and what marked it was the testimony of the doctors who worked on this case while he was working in the cantonal prosecutor’s office, Kemal Dizdarević and Hamza Žujo.

Today’s verdict ended the court proceedings that began on July 21, 2021, when the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is also one of the cases that attracted a lot of public attention, and the family of the injured young man, father Muriz and sister Arijana, during the entire duration of this case, i.e. since the death of Dženan, said that justice is slow, but attainable and they did not lose hope, Klix.ba reports.
