In the premises of the Sutina City Cemetery in Mostar, two victims of the past war were identified today. These are victims of Bosniak nationality who disappeared in 1992 and 1993 in the area of Mostar and Stolac.
The victims were first identified using DNA analysis so today their remains will be officially identified by their family members.
The family confirmed the identity of Mirsad (Osman) Fazlić, born in 1949 in Podlugovi near Ilijaš. He disappeared in May 1993 in the area of Mostar, and his remains were exhumed in 1998 in Mostar.
Ismail (Jabir) Memedi, born in 1942, was also identified today. He disappeared in the area of Stolac in June 1992, and his remains were exhumed in 2018 in the Vlahinja locality in Stolac, stated the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
