Organizing large wedding ceremony has in the past several years become a real hit. However, when organizing a wedding ceremony, the meddling of relatives and many responsibilities becomes a couple’s worst nightmare.

That’s why a Bulgarian couple, who love rafting, decided to organize a unique wedding ceremony which they and their guests will remember for the rest of their lives.

Veselin and Spasijana Paunovski are members of the Bulgarian rafting team so they decided to spend their most important team on the river.

They put on protective suits, life belts, invited their friends, and got married on the river Tara in BiH.

They included some traditions in the wedding ceremony – she broke a bread into two and he threw water on her, according to Jutarnji.hr.

After that, they exchanged vows and promised to love each other forever, while Reuters photographer Dado Ruvic recorded that.

Instead of a traditional wedding, a restaurant, a bouquet, and live music, they brought their friends to raft in Scepan Polje in Montenegro, near the border with BiH, at the place where the rivers Tara and Piva flow into the Drina river.

Veselin Paunovski had been to BiH before with his rafting team, while collecting humanitarian aid for the victims of the floods in Banja Luka. Maybe that’s how Spaasijana and he chose the location for their wedding.
