What is the Number of Voters who applied to Vote outside BiH?

In accordance with the Instruction on deadlines and the order of electoral activities for the upcoming General Elections, the deadline for submitting applications for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina has expired.

More than 90,000 voters from outside Bosnia and Herzegovina registered to vote in the General Elections in October. The Central Election Commission (CEC) will determine the validity of the applications. It is expected that some applications will be invalid due to technical or procedural errors.

Abuses have been prevented this time by the mandatory submission of a document by which a citizen proves their residence address, so that it is now impossible for tens of voters to be fictitiously registered at one address, and in the last elections they were also registered at the addresses of butchers and bakers.

As a reminder, in 2018, around 48,000 voters outside Bosnia and Herzegovina voted for a member of the Presidency, and 49,000 for parties.

The Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will send notices to persons whose applications have yet to be processed and who have deficiencies, to remove the deficiencies within the deadline (which may be after July 19).
