The 13th Winter Book Fair will take place from December 8 to 20, in the organization of TDK Sahinpasic, in Skenderija.

This year, thanks to the initiative of the Ministry of War Veterans Affairs of Canton Sarajevo, authors who wrote about events that took place during the war in BiH will have the opportunity to present and offer their works to everyone interested.

Author Aziz Taro thanked the competent ministry for providing them a sales stand and giving them opportunity to make a direct contact with their reading audience, which will be able to learn more about war crimes, genocide and the defensive – liberation war in BiH from their books.

“This is very important for us and we think that it is necessary as well, because this also represents a certain kind of preventive activity in the defence of our homeland. We want to make a contribution to the search of truth and justice with our books. We do not want revenge, but we will do everything possible for the preservation of the statehood of BiH, its culture and tradition, with a desire for all of its peoples to live together,” stated Tafro.

Director, journalist and publicist Avdo Huseinovic will present his book “Day D” at the fair, which is dedicated to the case ‘Dobrovaljacka’.

He believes that the Ministry of War Veterans Affairs gave a great opportunity to everyone dealing with the culture of memory to remind today’s public, but also to inform our future generations, about the most difficult period of history in our country.
