zenica floodsDuring the visit to Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC), Zlatko Lagumdžija, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Nermin Nikšić, the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH met with Munib Husejnagić, the Prime Minister of ZDC Government and Husejin Smajlović, Mayor of Zenica municipality.

During the meeting they talked about the current issue of repairing damages in flood affected areas in Zenica municipalities and ZDC. They were informed about everything that has been done after floods in area of the entire Canton, especially in Zenica, which was damaged the most in ZDC.

One of the topics was implementation of donor funds and loans for recovery of the affected areas.

‘’Zenica is an atypical city which started with projects and which has a vision how to solve problems. All those who expect that certain amount of funds will be raised to solve everything at once are mistaken and they cannot expect to solve their problems quickly’’, said Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, noting that priorities must be reconstruction of schools and health facilities which are damaged.

It was emphasized after the meeting that they should not count on someone from the world to give enormous amount of funds to solve our problems, but that we should use loans we were given at the Donor Conference, which are extremely favorable with grace period and low interest rate.
