djeca - afrika“Zlatna džezva”, a product of Vispak Company, is involved in the project of the humanitarian organization Islamic Relief Deutschland “Coffee to help”, whose goal is to collect aid in Germany for the poor in Africa.

So, the giant coffee pot (džezva), from which one can drink coffee for eight years now, has gone on tour in German cities such as Duisburg, Essen, Düsseldorf, Kӧln and Stuttgart.

Vispak said that all those who wish to help in those cities could try Bosnian coffee from 13-23 May from the biggest coffee pot in the world and donate funds, which would through Islamic Relief Deutschland be used for development projects in Africa.

The leader of the project for Islamic Relief Deutschland Erdin Kadunić said that with this action, they wish to inform the German public on projects of this organization in Africa.

“Another beautiful example of assistance is when BIH is involved in projects to help others, because at one time they helped us, and now we will try to help others. For example, people in Nigeria have a difficult life. Awakening the “Bosnian compassion” to all people in Germany, by sipping our true Bosnian coffee, we wish to contribute to helping to alleviate at least some poverty in that part of the world”, he said.

The project of the organization, which was launched in 2012 in Nigeria due to the growing problem of hunger in that country, seeks to help rural women who live off of agriculture.

Around one-sixth of the total yield of coffee in the world comes from Africa. Coffee is grown in around 50 countries throughout the world. Many of these countries depend on the production and sale of coffee, especially in Africa. Nigeria belongs to one of the poorest countries in the world.

The coffee pot of Vispak is in Germany for the first time. The capacity of the coffee pot, which entered into the Guiness Book of Records, is 650 liters, and around 8.000 cups of coffee can be drunk from this pot.

For one filling of the biggest coffee pot in the world, around 65 kg of coffee is necessary. It was created in the summer of 2004 “under the hammer” of a master craftsman from baščaršija called hadži Nasir Jabučar and his assistants.
