Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić met yesterday with Austrian President Alexander Van den Bellen in Vienna.
The high degree of cooperation in bilateral relations between BiH and the Republic of Austria was confirmed at the meeting and it was concluded that the relations between the two countries are good and without open issues.
Chairman Zvizdić informed President Van den Bell about the current economic and political situation in BiH and about the progress made in meeting the objectives of the road to the European Union and NATO. Moreover, he informed him about the recent meeting of prime ministers of the Western Balkans.
Austrian president said that Austria advocates the idea of all Western Balkan countries to become members of the European Union and that this is one of the foreign policy objectives of the Republic of Austria. Moreover, President expressed full support for the EU and NATO aspirations of BiH and the continuation of reforms in all areas.
Chairman Zvizdić and President Van den Bellen agreed that the position of BiH should be in the European Union.
Zvizdić said that BiH hopes for support of Austria in the further process of European and NATO integration.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Austria Tomislav Leko and the Director of the Directorate for European Integrations Edin Dilberović.
