By lighting the City Hall in the colors of the flag of the Republic of Austria, the City of Sarajevo together with its citizens wants to express sympathy and solidarity with the families of those killed and injured in the terrorist attack in Vienna.

“With this symbolic act, we want to send a strong message of unity.

“Our thoughts in these difficult moments are with the members of the families of innocent victims who suffer because of the loss of their loved ones, but also with the citizens of Vienna and Austria,” said Sarajevo Mayor Abdulah Skaka, wishing a speedy and successful recovery to the injured in this senseless act of violence.

Skaka said that only our determination to fight terrorism together can protect and defend freedom, democracy, cultural and civilizational values.

According to the latest official data, in the terrorist attack that took place in the center of the Austrian capital, five people were killed and more than 20 were injured, Vijesti.ba writes.
