energiewende_3The German Ambassador opened the international RENEXPO fair and exhibition on energetic transition in Germany – Energiewende.

Exhibition on transition of energy presents one of the most important projects of the future for Germany: until 2030 Germany plans to have half of its energy supply coming from renewable energy sources and by 2020 the energy consumption in Germany will reduce by half.

“Green growth is possible,” said Hohmann, emphasizing the socioeconomic effects: “Energy transition (Energiewende) can be beneficial for employment, it can contribute to sustainable and inclusive growth and it can increase the competitiveness of domestic companies. Therefore, those are all things that BiH strives for in its reform process.”

For that purpose, Germany supports BiH on its path of increased use of renewable energy and energy efficiency and the Government of this country will support projects of wind and hydro power plants in BiH with around 400 million EUR; it was stated.

The German fair company REECO organizes RENEXPO and since 2014 it developed into the greatest platform for investors, decision makers, representatives of national and public institutions and businessmen in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and environment in BiH; stated the Embassy of Germany.
