A Pilot posted a Video of a Plane landing at the Sarajevo Airport through the Fog

A pilot of an airline that was flying to Sarajevo posted a video of the plane landing on the runway in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) during dense fog.

In the description of the Instagram post, the pilot described the video.

“This is the winter edition of the approach to Sarajevo, BiH. Surrounded by mountains, the valley is often foggy. As automatic landing is not possible due to limited equipment at the airport, we must see the runway or at least the approach lights at 200 feet above the ground which is the so-called CAT1 minimum. We were lucky enough to spot the lights exactly at 230 feet. Not long after that, the fog thickened again. I had a lot of help from Jasmin Lokmic from Sarajevo Airport, who sent me weather updates before and during the flight,” he wrote.

It should be recalled that on December 11th, flights from Jeddah, Dubai, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Zagreb, Skopje, and Vienna were canceled due to thick fog.
