The Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda announced today that the Council of Ministers is actively working on the implementation contained in the report on BiH’s progress, as well as elements of the Brussels “Road Map”.

‘’I believe that the deadlines will be adhered to for all 30 measures, and we have already impelemented 7 measures’’, said Bevanda at a joint session of both houses of Parliament, and responding to a question by delegate Beriz Belkić on the dynamics of fulfilling the conditions for BiH’s road to the EU.

According to him, the BiH Council of Ministers is intensively preparing new coordination mechanisms, a BiH team has already been formed, and more will be heard about this at tomorrow’s session in Sarajevo.

He reminded that in BiH a Council for State Assistance was formed, after this key legislation was adopted.

Bevanda also noted the activities that are being carried out in connection with the population census, housing and households in BiH, which will be held from 1-15 October 2013.

He added that protocols on the exchange of information between BiH, Croatian and Serbian Prosecutor’s offices were made. When it comes to the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Bevanda said that they are continuing to work on creating the conditions for its normal operation.

‘’We have done most work on harmonizing BiH legislation with EU legislation”, said Bevanda.

He stressed the adoption of the ‘’hygiene package’’, which was prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, and added that in talks are amendments to the Public Procurement Law.
