Agreement for Further Cooperation Between the Office of BiH Parliamentary Military Commissioner and UNDP Signed

The Parliamentary Military Commissioner of BiH Boško Šiljegović signed an agreement to continue cooperation between the Office of the Parliamentary Military Commissioner and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in BiH, which was represented by the BiH Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP Zahira Virani.

Continued collaboration is reflected in the strengthened capacity in the protection of human rights of the members of the BiH armed forces, ensuring access to justice and offering free legal aid to professional military personnel.

With the signing of the agreement, it is expected that the capacity of the staff witll be strengthened, and the organization of the regional conference on good practices for the protection of human rights for members of the armed forces in Southeast Europe.

The Agreement provides financial aid for the office for the first quarter in 2013 in the amount of 15,000 US dollars, and Šiljegović expressed hope that cooperation with the UNDP in BiH will continue for 2013.
