The Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka, yesterday signed the agreement on twin cities in the capital of Qatar, with the Mayor of Doha, Jamal Matar Al Naimij.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CoM of BiH), Denis Zvizdic, and Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheik Abdullah bin Naser bin Khalifa Al Thani, attended the signing of the agreement.

As Skaka clarified on social networks, the agreement on twin cities established a framework for enhancing relations and expanding cooperation in different areas of economy and investments, exchange of tourists and development of touristic potentials, to the development of cultural and sports exchanges between the two capitals.

“This linkage is a major step in strengthening relations, not only cities, but peoples and states as a whole,“ says Skaka.

We recall, Skaka was in an official visit to the State of Qatar together with the delegation of the CoM of BiH, which was headed by the Chairman Zvizdic.

Zvizdic talked yesterday with Sheik Al-Thani about improving bilateral relations between BiH and Qatar. The meeting in Doha, besides Zvizdic and Skaka, was also attended by the Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic, BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igor Crnadak, BiH Minister of Civil Affairs, Adil Osmanovic, BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Ismir Jusko, and Ambassador of BiH in State Qatar, Tarik Sadovic.
