Analysis of the Average Net Salary and Annual Real Growth in BiH

The average monthly net salary per employee in legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2025 was 1,605 BAM, which is a nominal increase of 1.3 percent, and is 0.9 percent higher in real terms compared to September 2025.

On an annual basis, the average monthly net salary for October 2025 compared to the same month in 2024 is nominally higher by 13.4 percent, and is 8.8 percent higher in real terms.

The highest net salaries were earned by employees in the Information and Communication sector (2,202 BAM), in Health and Social Protection (2,068 BAM), Financial and Insurance Activities (2,039 BAM), and Production and Supply of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning (1,993 BAM), according to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The lowest net salaries were earned by workers in the Accommodation and Food Service Activities (1,150 BAM) and Construction (1,278 BAM).

The average gross salary of employees in October 2025 was 2,494 BAM, which is a nominal increase of 1.3 percent and a real increase of 0.9 percent compared to September 2025.

On an annual basis, the average gross salary for October 2025 compared to the same month in 2024 is nominally higher by 13.7 percent, and is realy higher by 9.0 percent.
