Member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, today received the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to BiH, Marco Di Ruzza, and discussed the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, bilateral relations between the two countries and economic cooperation.

The interlocutors expressed a mutual desire for additional improvement of overall bilateral relations, especially economic cooperation, which is very important in current relations.

Bećirović thanked the Republic of Italy for its continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina within the European integration process, stressing the importance of granting Bosnia and Herzegovina candidate status for membership in the European Union.

The interlocutors pointed out that there is great potential for additional strengthening of the economic cooperation between the two countries, to which the Chamber of Italian and BiH Entrepreneurs, recently formed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will contribute.

Di Ruzza announced the support of the Republic of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path, as well as the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. On that occasion, he also talked about the issues of support by the Italian Ministry of Internal Affairs for strengthening the capacity of police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as significant technical support for the large project of the Ars Aevi Museum in Sarajevo.
