BiH Ambassador Alkalaj presents diplomatic credentials to the US President

The newly-appointed Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United States of America, Sven Alkalaj, presented his credentials to the President of the United States, Joe Biden.

During the handover ceremony held at the White House, after the presentation of credentials, the interlocutors confirmed that the bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the US are good and friendly.

Ambassador Alkalaj pointed out that the BiH Embassy in Washington and he personally will continue to closely cooperate with the US on all issues of importance and interest for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President Biden wished Ambassador Alkalaj a successful mandate and emphasized the full commitment and readiness of the US to remain a reliable partner to friendly Bosnia and Herzegovina in achieving its foreign policy goals, adding that BiH has been in his heart for many years.

President Biden and Ambassador Alkalaj know each other well and have been cooperating since the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, when Biden was a senator from the State of Delaware, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
