In the first nine months of this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded commodity exports valued at 13.4 billion KM, representing a 6.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, imports rose by 8.6 percent, reaching 24.15 billion KM.

The export-to-import coverage ratio stood at 55.5 percent, while the foreign trade deficit exceeded 10.7 billion KM.

The European Union market remains the primary destination for Bosnian and Herzegovinian exporters. Between January and September, goods worth 10.23 billion KM were exported to EU countries—an increase of 10.2 percent over the previous year. Concurrently, imports from the EU grew by 9.6 percent, reaching 14.15 billion KM. The export-to-import coverage ratio in trade with the EU was 72.3 percent.

Trade with CEFTA countries saw a 5.1 percent decline in exports, which totaled 2.08 billion KM for the first nine months of the year. Imports during the same period rose by 1.4 percent, reaching 2.81 billion KM. The export-to-import coverage ratio with CEFTA countries remained relatively high at 73.8 percent, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of BiH.
