BiH exports Weapons to 54 Countries and produces Air Bombs!

Production in the purpose industry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzgovina (FBiH) takes place in 14 companies employing around 3.500 workers, and products are exported to “more than 54 countries of the world, ” BiznisInfo says on the basis of the presentation by the sector recently presented in the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH.

The export of weapons, ammunition and parts, in the first nine months of this year amounted to about 127 million BAM, which is an increase of 6.26 percent compared to the same period last year.

The main export markets are: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United States, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Serbia, Afghanistan, Switzerland and Angola.

According to this presentation, BiH produces, among other things, mortar, artillery, tank and anti-tank ammunition, missiles, infantry ammunition and air bombs.

We also produce initial capsules and detonators for civil and military use, as well as sports and pistol ammunition for the civilian program.

There are also electric and non-electric detonators, detonating cords and detonating capsules, as well as mortar and artillery lighters and capsules, and also mines, cluster and hand grenades. Explosives for civilian and military use, army and police equipment, optical products, etc. are also produced.

Even in the 80’s of the last century in this branch in BiH were employed 23.000 people in 20 companies. Very complex products have been manufactured and exported around the world. On the basis of all parameters, it can be said that today the purpose industry continues positive trends each year.
