BiH has its own Airline: The Owner says they can “take off” in 60 Days!

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has its own airline that can “take off” within a few months, but it needs the support of the state, more precisely, the canton.

Namely, it is not so known fact that there is a private airline in BiH, Bosnia Airlines, which was registered way back in 2001 and is privately owned.

An unusual fate befell this company. Namely, about 20 years ago, it bought and paid for a passenger plane from a Croatian company, but it was never delivered to this company.

The owner of Bosnia Airlines, professor Muamer Kalic, saidthat this dispute is still ongoing and is now before the court in Strasbourg. He says that he was left without a plane “due to the fraud of the Croatian judiciary”, which caused damage not only to him but also to the state of BiH.

”The company that was supposed to deliver the plane while the international dispute was going on was terminated. The case ended up at the Constitutional Court of Croatia, and then at the court in Strasbourg. I am the first Bosnian who requested a review of the appeal of the Court in Strasbourg. The dispute is still ongoing,” says Kalic.

As he points out, the injustice was done to the Bosnia Airlines company, to him personally, but also to the state of BiH.

Despite this, the company has never been shut down, and every year it renews its licenses, which is why it is ready to “take off” in a short time.

”Our plans are to continue working at some point. We have been waiting for these political changes. I expected that the new government would decide to improve what the previous governments failed to do. BiH must have its own company. So far, there hasn’t been an understanding. We renew our license every year, we have a code, and we have our own experts spread around the world. Unlike those who would like to found their own company, who need years of preparation, we need 30 to 60 days,” he explained, Biznis Info reports.
