BiH Presidency Member says Defense Minister should be dismissed

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović believes that BiH Defense Minister Zukan Helez should be dismissed.

“We will see how the puzzle will be made around that, but in my opinion he should be replaced because this is not the first time he comes out with various craziness and stories,” Cvijanović told reporters in Banja Luka.

She believes that “it is absolutely inappropriate and that Helez’s allegations were invented with the intention of destabilizing relations within Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially with the intention of drawing negative attention to the Republika Srpska”.

“Before that, he talked about various intelligence, call data. He told us what would happen, where Milorad Dodik would go, that’s crazy. One cannot believe that someone who performs such an important function can say such things only in order to entertain the public, primarily the international public, in his address, in his interviews,” said Cvijanović.

Helez recently stated that there are military training camps in the territory of Republika Srpska and that they are paramilitary formations.

“They are located, we are following them and we can easily eliminate them,” Helez said, pointing out that the whole process is being led by “some people from Russia.”

He also claimed that in Bosnia and Herzegovina they have certain forces of other countries which, apart from Eufor, are sufficient to provide complete security and help BiH to be safe.

“I can tell the citizens because I know who we have, what we have in BiH to be calm and peaceful, that there are no problems,” Helez said.

The Intelligence and Security Agency (OBA) of BiH replied yesterday to Srna that it has no information about the existence of military camps and paramilitary formations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Srna reports.
