BiH registers Record in Number of Registered Vehicles

In April, 10,476 motor vehicles were registered for the first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), which is 41.4 percent more than in April last year.

Out of the total number of vehicles registered for the first time in April of this year, 18.3 percent are new vehicles, the BiH Statistics Agency announced.

Among the vehicles registered for the first time, the most represented are: passenger cars (72.3 percent), trucks (6.9 percent), motorcycles (6.3 percent), trailers (3.6 percent), mopeds (2.7 percent), semi-trailers (1.3 percent), road tractors (1.2 percent), special vehicles (0.9 percent), while buses registered for the first time represent the smallest share (0.4 percent).

In four months of this year (January-April), a 32 percent increase in the total number of motor vehicles registered for the first time was recorded compared to the same period of the previous year.
