The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Stasa Kosarac, addressed the public via social networks.

“After very negative reactions from the public and many citizens, and criticism directed at me by the President of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, but also by my numerous party and parliamentary colleagues, I am ready to offer my resignation and make my mandate available to the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija.

Due to my irresponsible and reckless actions, I am ready to bear all the sanctions imposed on me by the party.

I once again apologize to the residents Republika Srpska, the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina and especially to my voters for my irresponsible behavior in very difficult days for all citizens.

For the previous two days, I avoided any unnecessary contact, and as of this afternoon, I am in home self-isolation in East Sarajevo, so for the next 14 days I will fulfill my work obligations and scheduled meetings by working from home online.

So far, I have done my job conscientiously and responsibly, without any omissions and scandals or public criticism, in the interest of all BiH’s citizens, and so I will continue until the final decision of my superiors.

On May 5th, Sarajevo police interrupted the party in one of Sarajevo restaurants, and all participants in the party were given fines.

Numerous media previously reported that officials and public figures gathered in a catering facility in Sarajevo, and that the party was allegedly organized on the occasion of a doctor’s birthday, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

Among the participants were Bosnian Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Stasa Kosarac and the Dean of the Veterinary Faculty in Sarajevo Nihad Fejzic, businessman Zijad Blekic and others.

Photos and videos from the party were posted on social networks by the present singers, and among them were Halid Beslić, Hari Varesanovic,  Serif Konjevic, Sladana Mandic.

It was the singer Sladana Mandic who posted several stories on her Instagram profile, which show how those present have fun with music, food and drinks.

At a time when the whole world, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, is struggling with the coronavirus pandemic, an event like this is to be condemned, especially due to the fact that one state minister and pop artists were present at the party.
