A prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Miljan Kulic born in 1975 in Foča, with a criminal record, citizen of BiH.

The accused is charged with having committed two criminal offences in such a way that in the boot and hidden places in the passenger motor vehicle he was operating on the main road Foča-Sarajevo he transported more than 6,000 packs of cigarettes of various brands without appropriate excise stamps of the State of BiH, which he intended to put up for sale.

The cigarettes were found during a check carried out by RS MoI police officers.

The Indictment alleges that the accused acted contrary to Article 25 (1) of the Law on Excise Duties in BiH, because the said tobacco products, for the purpose of the provisions of the Law on Excise Duties in BiH, are considered excise products and must be marked with excise stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of BiH.

The accused is charged with having committed the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Excise Products under Article 210a (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH in conjunction with Article 26, all in conjunction with Article 54 of the same Code.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
