america universityABOUT STUDY ABROAD AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Being involved in an AUBiH Study Abroad or International Student program is a life changing experience. Programs are offered during year, semester, or Summer long terms. Find yourself immersed in culture and education in ways that you have never been before. Come to Bosnia and Herzegovina and see why so many have fallen in love with the Heart Shaped Land!

STUDY ABROAD STUDENTS

Study abroad students are directed through a specially designed program. The current program we have available focuses on topics such as Diplomacy and International Relations, Conflict Resolution, Nationalism, Genocide, and State-building. Our Study Abroad program is for students who wish to learn about the recent and current situation in the Balkans including the transition to democracy in Bosnia. Study Abroad students will meet regularly with a broad range of Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian, European, and American politicians, NGO representatives, diplomats, and BiH students. This program offers in-depth insights into the many different ethnic, religious, and political backgrounds – all of which make up BiH’s complicated tapestry. Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the few places which offers such a deep perspective of Conflict Resolution and commendable resilience.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

For students interested in taking regularly offered AUBiH courses, consider coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina as a visiting International student! International students have the chance to take courses in any of our regularly offered degree programs for a semester or a year at any of our four campuses around the country. Students are able to continue their studies in a broad range of majors including International Law, Security, Journalism, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, Graphic Design, and more! International students are integrated with local AUBiH and Study Abroad students and gain a unique view of life and culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Both options allow students to travel extensively around the incredible landscape of Bosnia and the surrounding region, study the language of Bosnia (“Bosnian-Serbo- Croatian”) and possibly take up an internship in an international organization or NGO. The American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina offers first class education taught entirely in English by International, American, and BiH Professors.
