Chinese Giant to bring Tuzla closer to Sarajevo?

The Government of the FBiH is conducting intensive negotiations with potential investors on the project of the construction of railroad Vares – Banovici, according to the Prime Minister Fadil Novalic.

More specifically, negotiations with a large domestic company and potential investors from China are currently taking place, said PM Novalic at the business forum of the Chamber of Commerce of the FBiH, which took place a few days ago.

The construction of this railroad would make the route Port Ploce – Port Brcko, i.e. Sarajevo – Tuzla,  shorter for a minimum of 130 kilometers.

Although Novalic did not mention the exact names of the companies, it is most probably the CRRC Group from China, which previously expressed their readiness to construct this railroad and whose representatives already visited locations in Banovici and Vares.

It is one of the largest Chinese companies, which has more than 180,000 employees all over the world, and it represents the leading supplier of railway transport equipment and the construction of the most technologically advanced trains and railways in the entire world.

Their partner in this project is BH company ASA Prevent Group.
