Cyclists in Sarajevo to break the Guinness World Record?

sarajevo grand prixThis year as well, the project of promotion of cycling “Sarajevo Grand Prix“ will be held on 14th June with the support of the International Cycling Federation, as announced yesterday at the press conference.

The press conference was held in the hall of the City Council of the City of Sarajevo, where the route through which athletes and recreatives will drive. As it was announced yesterday, the Guinness World Record will be broken in the longest line of cyclists.

President of the Cycling Alliance of B&H, Zlatko Berbic said yesterday that a lot is expected  from this year’s race.

On behalf of the Office of the Mayor of Sarajevo, Ivo Komsic, his deputy Ramiz Kadic addressed the attendees, who also thinks that this will be a memorable event, but also that the capital of B&H needs more of such manifestations and races.

The Mayor Nenad Samardzija, addressed the attendees on behalf of the city East Sarajevo.

“The International Race – Sarajevo Grand Prix, as a sport event, was already listed in the UCI calendar and represents gathering a large number of cyclists from 20 countries of the world, and gathers more than 140 participants. We, as the city of East Sarajevo, will support such projects in the future as well. This event will again send the positive message from Sarajevo to the entire world“, emphasized Samardzija.

A new promo video for the “Sarajevo Grand Prix“ was promoted yesterday, and this year’s cover face will be actor Enis Beslagic.
